War Memorial Centre

Whanganui

  • Other

A radical departure from the norm when built in 1955 to 1960, the War Memorial Centre is recognised as one of the finest examples of New Zealand modernist architecture. A venue for all events it is also a living War Memorial and home to the Book of Remembrance, an antique artillery Krupp Gun and the exquisite stained glass window. Visitors are welcome.
